That which was Dead refuses to Die. Mortalkind long ago slayed and then threw the Gods out of their thrones to claim them (only to then, by their own kin, be thrown off theirs). Now the heavens lie empty but the Slaughtered Gods -- the original masters of this world -- are slowly being pulled back to their empty thrones. Unless they are stopped, this world is doomed. Only by Prophecy and the fire of Freedom can this world be saved -- only by you, Investigator.

To Ash and Ember is a (currently prototype) singleplayer Dark Fantasy Event-based RPG. It plays like a board-game without needing to shuffle decks, set out a board, or read manuals. This is a game of time management and decisions, of who to save and who to sacrifice, and of a City whose windows and streets grow darker and stranger the longer your battles continue.

Battle horrors beyond imagination. The shadows hold knives, teeth, and weaponized existentialism. Unbound by mortal logic, these foes can as easily snap minds as they can snap bones.

The World forever twists underfoot. With each stir of the Gods, the world itself will warp. Up may become down. Doors may lead to Forests. Even Fate may unravel in these conditions.

Fate's cruel but fair dice. In true board-game fashion, you roll against Fate herself to determine the outcomes of the many tests that face you with six-sided dice; each Investigator has their own strengths and weaknesses  and you may find in the world a variety of ways to 'tip the dice in your favor'.

This is Your Story. Game events are presented as mini-narratives with branching paths, opportunities, and perils. Your choices may open up new possibilities -- or seal them.

Come as you are -- armed to the teeth. Wield, discover, empower, and sell an array of spells, weapons, and beasts alone or with Companions and Allies as you stand against the Fated Resurrections.
